A phone system your team and your customers can rely on

Your phones are how customers reach you. We plan, deploy, and support VoIP phone systems on a network built for voice, with one team accountable when something is not right.

Sound familiar?

You probably need this if…

  • Calls drop, echo, or sound choppy and your phone vendor blames your internet
  • You are paying for an aging on-premises phone system that is hard to change
  • Staff work from multiple offices or from home and need the same phone experience
  • Changing a call route or adding a user requires a service ticket and a wait
  • You are opening a new location or moving offices
  • You have no idea what your phone bill actually includes

Plan around how your team actually communicates

A phone system should reflect how calls really move through your business. Who answers first? What happens after hours, on holidays, or when the front desk is busy? Which departments need ring groups or call queues? Who needs to be reachable on a mobile app or from a home office? We start with those questions before we talk about hardware or features.

From there we design call flows, auto attendants, voicemail routing, and user setups that match your operation. We also plan number porting carefully so your existing numbers move to the new system without an unplanned gap in service. The goal is a cutover your customers never notice, and a system your team understands on the first day. We also train users and front-desk staff so features like transfers, call parking, and voicemail-to-email actually get used.

Call quality starts with the network

Most VoIP complaints are network problems. Voice is sensitive to delay, jitter, and packet loss in a way email and web browsing are not. If voice traffic competes with large downloads on an unmanaged network, calls break up no matter which phone provider you choose. That is why phone vendors and IT providers so often point at each other.

Because we manage networks as well as phones, we make the network ready for voice before cutover. That can include prioritizing voice traffic, separating it on its own network segment, checking internet capacity and redundancy, and confirming switches can power desk phones over Ethernet. When there is a problem later, the same team looks at the phone and the network together.

  • Quality of Service settings to prioritize voice traffic
  • Voice network segmentation
  • Internet capacity review and failover planning
  • PoE switching and cabling for desk phones

Flexible for hybrid work and multiple locations

Cloud phone systems let your business number follow your people. Staff can take calls on a desk phone, a computer, or a mobile app, and customers see the same company caller ID either way. Adding a location or a remote employee becomes a configuration change instead of a hardware project. Features like call recording, text messaging, and integration with the tools your team already uses are available on many platforms, and we help you decide which ones are worth turning on.

We handle moves, adds, and changes as part of ongoing support, so updating an auto attendant greeting or adding a new hire does not turn into a lengthy request. And because GDS Technology has supported business clients since 2005, your phones are backed by a team that knows your environment, not a general support line reading from a script. When something changes in your business, such as a new department or extended hours, your phone system can change with it the same week.

Frequently asked questions

Can we keep our current phone numbers?

In most cases, yes. Numbers are ported from your current provider to the new service. We coordinate the port and schedule cutover to avoid an unplanned gap in service.

Will VoIP work if our internet goes down?

Cloud phone systems need internet to reach the office. We plan for that with failover options such as a secondary internet connection and rules that route calls to mobile apps or other locations during an outage.

Do we need new desk phones?

Not always. Some existing phones are compatible with the new platform. Many users also choose a softphone on their computer or mobile device instead of a desk phone. We review what you have before recommending purchases.

Why have your IT team handle phones instead of a phone company?

Because call quality depends on the network. When one team owns both, there is no finger-pointing. Problems are diagnosed end to end and fixed faster.
