Get the cloud working for you, not the other way around

Microsoft 365 and other cloud services can make your business more flexible and secure, but only when they are planned and configured properly. We migrate, harden, and manage your cloud so it simply works.

Sound familiar?

You probably need this if…

  • Files live in a mix of a local server, personal Dropbox accounts, and email attachments
  • You are paying for Microsoft 365 licenses but not sure which features you actually use
  • Former employees may still have access to company files or mailboxes
  • Your Microsoft 365 security settings are still at their defaults
  • Remote and hybrid work feels cobbled together rather than designed

Moving to the cloud is a business decision, not just a technical one

The cloud is not one thing. It ranges from software you subscribe to, such as Microsoft 365, to hosted servers and virtual desktops, to the line-of-business applications your industry relies on. Each option has tradeoffs in cost, performance, control, and compliance. Moving everything to the cloud is not automatically the right answer, and neither is keeping an aging server in a closet out of habit.

We help you decide based on how your team actually works. Which applications need to run where? What do your compliance obligations require? How reliable is your internet connection, and do you need a backup line? What happens when someone works from a client site or a home office? Answering those questions first prevents expensive migrations that leave people frustrated.

Microsoft 365, configured properly

Microsoft 365 is far more than email. It includes file storage and sharing through OneDrive and SharePoint, collaboration through Teams, device management, and a wide range of security features. The catch is that many of those protections are not fully enabled by default, and the license you choose determines which ones are available to you at all. Many businesses pay for capabilities they never turn on.

Proper configuration starts with identity security: multi-factor authentication, policies that block risky sign-ins, and limits on legacy protocols attackers commonly abuse. It continues with sensible file structure, sharing rules that prevent sensitive documents from leaving the company by accident, device management for laptops and phones, and email protections against phishing and impersonation. We also review licensing so you are paying for what you need and using what you pay for.

Migration and ongoing management

A good migration is planned around your business, not the other way around. We inventory your current data and permissions, clean up what does not need to move, map out a new structure that makes sense to your team, and schedule the cutover to minimize disruption. Then we stay on hand to help people find their files and adjust to new ways of working.

After the move, cloud services still need care. Users are added and removed, permissions drift, Microsoft introduces new features and changes defaults, and security settings need periodic review. Our team manages your tenant as part of your ongoing IT support, and we pair it with independent backup so your cloud data is protected from deletion and compromise, not just stored somewhere else.

Frequently asked questions

Should we get rid of our on-site server?

Sometimes, but not always. Some line-of-business applications still run best on local or hosted servers. We evaluate your applications, data, and workflows before recommending whether to retire, replace, or keep a server.

Which Microsoft 365 license do we need?

It depends on your security, compliance, and device management needs. Business-tier plans differ significantly in the protections they include. We recommend licensing based on your requirements rather than defaulting to the cheapest or most expensive option.

Will a migration disrupt our work?

Some adjustment is unavoidable, but careful planning keeps it small. We schedule cutovers around your busy periods, communicate clearly with your staff, and provide hands-on support in the days afterward.

Is the cloud secure enough for regulated data?

Major cloud platforms can support regulated workloads, including healthcare and financial data, when they are configured and governed correctly. The configuration and your policies are what determine whether you meet your obligations, which is where we help.
